A New Approach to Subscriber and Policy Management

ComAbility neXus is a carrier-grade suite designed to address the emerging market needs, providing advanced subscriber management and policy management capabilities to Wi-Fi service providers, mobile operators and DSL providers. Enriched through close work with providers from different countries, ComAbility neXus tremendously simplifies Wi-Fi and DSL connectivity aspects and the delivery of Wi-Fi services, taking into account subscriber profile, location and AP, roaming status, and many other parameters crucial for proper management of services over Wi-Fi, 3G/4G and DSL.

Putting the Control in the Hand of the User

Management of Wi-Fi networks is a domain where user level involvement is important.

Many operators and service providers avoid client software for handsets and mobile devices for known reasons, such as:

Poor standardization resulting in a range of differences between handset vendors
A need for device configuration - a costly and complex procedure, requiring also long-term support, upgrades etc.
Natural avoidance of installing operator-specific software perceived as a tool for operator control and restricting of usage, rather than as an added-value application.

neXus is offering subscriber-level policies and personalization capabilities, without requiring client-based applications.

Local authentication policies can be applied without IWLAN tunnelling, thus allowing local breakout points without a need of redirection to packet core.
